executive-chef-tom-rhyneer“There’s a new chef in town at The Big Fish Grill Issaquah: The restaurant rung in the New Year by welcoming Tom Rhyneer as its new executive chef.

A Midwest native turned Seattleite, Tom first made his mark on the Seattle restaurant scene as executive sous chef of the Sorrento Hotel and Hunt Club Restaurant, where he trained with Chef Brian Scheesher. He’s spent the past decade in Florida, where he was executive chef for The Atlantic Hotel and its restaurant, Trina, in Fort Lauderdale.

A self-described “total foodie,” Tom brings a touch of Latino and Caribbean flavors – plus definitive New Orleans and Creole recipes – to Big Fish Grill’s classic Northwest menu. It’s an approach that reflects his culinary training and experience on both coasts.

Drop by the restaurant at Grand Ridge Plaza in Issaquah Highlands this week and you’ll find a N’awlins Mahi Po Boy on the menu, plus Baja Tacos and Shrimp Scampi.”
